A multimedia concert-theatre spectacle. A futuristic reinterpretation of Hamlet set in a world where the boundary between humanity and technology has ceased to exist.
HAMLET.EXE
What if you are a copy?
Death has been disabled.
HAMLET.EXE is a story about the reality humanity is rapidly approaching. The body is no longer the only place where a person can exist, and memory may outlive the human being.
In this world, Hamlet no longer asks, “To be or not to be.” He asks: “Am I, or am I not?”
Can the memory of a life be enough to remain human? Or is a digital copy merely the perfect echo of someone who is already gone?
Human
Matter remembers pain, touch and fear. But it cannot survive everything.
Copy
Memories can be preserved. The question is whether the soul survives with them.
KronOs
A system encompassing the castle, the state and the network — a place where every consciousness leaves its trace.
Shakespeare rebooted.
Concert, theatre and a futuristic world tell the same story in one language.
Rap
Contemporary rhythm and language drive Hamlet’s conflict.
Voice
Emotion that cannot be contained within dialogue.
Orchestra
A symphonic space that gives Elsinore its monumental scale.
Movement and image
Dance, light and visuals extend the stage beyond its physical boundaries.
Am I
or am I
not?
If all your memories, fears and desires continue to exist — but without your body — who has actually survived?
The system cast.
The transmission has not begun yet.
HAMLET.EXE is being developed as an original concert-theatre world by 2s2s Entertainment.
